Honors and Achievements

• Recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School, 2007-08

• Recognized by the Indiana Department of Education as Indiana's Title I Distinguished School for closing the achievement gap and awardedd a $25,000 grant, 2006-07

• Recognized by the Indiana Department of Education as a top performing Title I School for Exceptional Student Performance and awarded a $5,000 grant, 2005-06

• Nominated for the National School Change Award by Dr. Suellen Reed, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, for making significant positive changes, 2005-06

• February 2010 - Received a donation of $30,000 from MDwise, a not-for-profit managed care organization operated under the Clarian Health Partner umbrella.  Students also received backpacks and school supplies.

• August 2010 - Received a $1,000 donation for Leveled Student Text from Alan Herbert.

• Met the requirements for Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as determined by the NCLB Act for 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2010
